Buttery vanilla sponge double cake with a middle layer of icing and vanilla white icing on top with multi-coloured cachous side.

CHOCOLATE MARBLE CUPCAKES

Ingredients

125g Butter

3/4cup sugar

1tblspn vanilla essence

2 eggs

2 cups self raising plain flour

2 1/2 cups icing sugar

250grams chocolate

Water

Step 1: Making mixture and marbling

1. Combine dry (sugar etc) ingredients first then add the liquids (butter etc) after for the cupcake mixture.

2. Heat dark (or other) chocolate in a separate bowl.

3. Pour cupcake mixture first into paper cups.

4. Then pour the chocolate over the mixture of each and use a thin stick or tooth pick to swirl the chocolate around (do not over work it or it wont have the marble affect)

5. Put tray in the oven for 20 min on 180°C then let cool before icing.

Step 2: Icing

1. Combine Icing Sugar with water until it is thick and spreadable. (If too runny add more icing sugar, if to thick add more water)

2. Add any flavouring or colouring if desired.

3. Using a spatula spread icing mixture over the cupcake (Make sure that the cupcake is room temp and not straight out of the oven or the icing will melt into the cupcake.)

4. Enjoy

SPOOKY CHOCOLATE COATED WAFERS

INGREDIENTS
375grams - Dairy Chocolate
250gram - Chocolate (or other) Wafers (40 sticks)
75grams - 85% Dark Chocolate (optional)
2 Tblspoons- Nesquik Powder
Instant Icing
Water

UTENSILS
Wide and deep pot (Base of double steam pot)
Round metal (Sits on top of base pot)
Baking Paper
Fork

STEP 1: TEMPERING CHOCOLATE

1. Place base pot on medium heat and fill with water, place round metal pot on top. (NOTE: make sure the round bottom doesn't come into contact with water level)
2. Tip your dark chocolate and nesquik powder with your dairy milk chocolate, stir until all is melted. (NOTE: do not put heat on high as it wil burn and ruin the chocolate or let water come into contact with the chocolate)
3. Turn off the heat. Also you can use anyother chocolate if desired.

STEP 2: COATING & DECORATING WAFERS

1. Simply dip and coat your wafer in the chocolate mix.
2. Use your fork to pick up and let excess chocolate drip off.
3. Then place on baking paper.
4. Once finished all your wafers, put all sticks in the freezer.
5. Once the chocolate has successfully tempered (should be smooth, hard, glossy and *snaps*) you can decorate them however you like.
6. ENJOY!

Well what can I say, i'm a fan of ruffles. Clean cut designs with one or two focal points to attract attention but never over the top. Subtle details add interest to each design .

Diane Von Furstenberg

Although the first picture is from SS Resort i just really wanted to add it in. was the only highlight that tickled by pickle, layering, colour scheme and ink bleed edges add great effect to the ruffles. Moving on..i feel DVF is in a Rachel Zoe inspired Boho Chic faze which is identified by the flowy urban dresses and flower head bands. Quite perfect to amplify the summer scene.

Givenchy

I've always been a fan of metallic gold sequins and/or accessories. If only the vivid lime green dresses weren't.......well GREEN!

Versace

For one i actually like there new SS Resort Collection. Pastels, Geometric Patters, Neon Silks with metallic embellishments and Patterned Pastel Pumps.

Marchesa

There gowns are too elegant it should be illigal. No wonder why all the celebs wear Marchesa at Red Carpet events because they are the epitome of chic and elegance. Marchesa gowns are on the rise..... exponentially.

Burberry

This is my favorite collection beside Oscar De La Renta. Waisted belts, soft natural pastels, trench coats, belts, envelope clutches and drapery/knotting. The end result being timeless and wearable for anything. A+

Donna Karan

Complex draping wrap-a-rounds with thick waisted ribbons for silhouette and folded fabrics bring elegance and luxury to a SS outfit.

Lanvin

Heavy on the accessories would be a gross understatement. The collection was so laden with oversized flower and pearl necklaces, earrings, sunglasses, and hats. Emphasizes the an outfit is incomplete without the correct complementing accessories.

Zac Posen

Accentuation of clean shapes, with everything from simple & sexy stretch canvas sheaths to tops and body hugging skirts in mix-match floral prints to jersey button-downs and ruched silk pants in hard-candy colors.

Alexander Wang

The use of bulky teased braided plats, neutral tones and absolute bare minimal use of make up bring out the clean, fresh and natural sense in this SS Collection.

The soft pastel yellow pleats and the bead and leather work is truly remarkable. It works so well that i would buy them just to look at. They remind me of chic slippers in which one slips on to quickly run down the street to get bread at a convenient store at 8pm on a crazy NYC street.

If only money grew on tree's. CK look is classic. The soft hues are inviting to wear anywhere, anytime, any day. If i was older and had a slick job i would wear this, or maybe even the interview for it :P

Givenchy Couture

Givenchy is and will always remain elegant and chic (but will never out beat Chanel in a long shot, biased but true). The blood, sweat and tears that go into each and every dress can only be imagined. So silk and feathers are always a winner. Less is more!

The collection is so simple and elegant there is no need for anymore additions. Low cuts and warm colours are great and fresh for the Utopian sunlight days on the beach and in the parks for picnics. The simplicity of the outfits compliment and draw eyes towards the focus; in which being the shoes. Only one focal point be necessary for a "LOOKBOOK WIN"; in which clutter and over complication of ones outfit will dramatically discomfort eyes.

this weeks fine finds

^^^photo frame was found in a abandoned box on top of my art cupboard; it was shoved in the corner. found out it was dated along with a scrap book and college diary from 1974'

^^^4 frames made after and during handing in my VA Body of Work. Vintage look added on simple plain canvas frames :)
